Our Story

It is incredible how one small idea can grow into something truly special. Young's legacy inc is rooted in the belief that we all have an inherent responsibility to make a meaningful difference in our community. With a variety of active projects and a large volunteer staff, we harness our skills and resources to successfully achieve our goals.

Our mission and vision are that every homeless and disadvantaged individual and youth retain a quality of life. while addressing systemic racial and economic issues that cause poverty for our families. Also, create a society and economy in which Disadvantaged youths and homeless achieve financial prosperity and high quality of life for themselves and their families to contribute to the advancement of their community. The specific objectives of Young’s Legacy are: 

  •  Career Training: To support youth workforce development in Communities, Young's Legacy offers career training in 5 labor market gaps: Tech, Trades, financial, Social Services, and Hospitality. Our programs are aimed at improving careers, education, and empowerment that are holistic, person-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally relevant.            

  • Building assistance to provide supportive services to individuals.   

  • To stabilize individuals and link them to stability. 

  • Provide necessary resources and proper support and needs through a highly trained team; 

  • Create communities and help them achieve sustainable life ways for themselves and their families; 

  • Instill hope and a future by guiding people to recognize their self-worth through positive influences; 

  • Build a solid supportive volunteer base.

Young’s Legacy's values are to build a strong relationship with youths, private entities, non-profit organizations, and philanthropies, making sure the necessary needs of the less fortunate and the homeless population are met and superseded. We aim to develop our organization along the path of high values and ethics, which includes:

KEYS TO SUCCESS 

The following factors will be crucial to create and maintain the sustained success of Young’s Legacy, we achieve this by collaborating with Disadvantage youths, their families, employers, and the broader community in 3 areas of work: 

  • Establish a strong network of support for families and individuals in the community. 

  • Launch a series of fundraising activities that will successfully fund the expanding program. 

  • Establish an effective program to improve their understanding and socio-economic development. 

  • Establish an effective monitoring system to help individuals who are suffering from poverty. 

  • Everyone associated with our organization will be in a position to communicate the mission of the organization.

Philosophy

At Young's legacy inc, we take pride in being problem solvers who are not afraid to take risks. We believe that with boldness, creativity, and heart, there is nothing we can’t accomplish. But above all, our strength lies in teamwork. Every one of us can contribute no matter our experience or background. With this strength behind us, just imagine what we can achieve together.

We help disadvantaged youths by providing several different resources and programs that will aid in helping them develop skills, awareness, and lifelong knowledge that will help them succeed as they grow into adulthood.  

We intend to put together programs within the community and hard-to-reach areas for disadvantaged youths from 16 and up, providing programs such as stem, e-commerce, stock, taxes, and trade teaching such as plumbing, electrician, etc. We also serve the homeless through a partnership with a homeless shelter. We will be using grants, donations, and the selling of whole pallets of merchandise purchased by the truckload and sold to people to fund the nonprofit organization. 

Young’s Legacy is targeting urban communities including rural community development, job transitioning for 16 years old and up, homeless home placement programs, tutor programs, career exploration, skill-building, critical thinking activities, stem programs, residential housing voucher assistance, mobile feeding trucks programs, vocational training programs, workout facilities, mobile showers for homeless, and just overall providing uplifting, inspiration, motivation, encouragement to the community and beyond. 

Young’s Legacy has both short-term and long-term plans to move forward. Anyway, all the plans are to be the #1 non-profit organization in the aspect of supporting the less fortunate, the poor, and the homeless population. 

Growth Model: We can consider organizational growth in 3 stages. It will then be easy to evaluate each step's success and make the necessary changes to reach the best results. 

  • Stage 1 – Conception and Development 

  • focusing on program development 

  • securing adequate financial resources and developing a market 

  • formality and procedures are non-existent 

  • Stage 2 – Growth 

  • achieve high growth rates in funding and serving 

  • expanding the program range into more areas 

  • Stage 3 – Stability 

  • securing growth funding and market share 

  • penetrating new geographic territories 

Future Growth: Future goals are to take this organization to the other level and introduce many innovative services to the community. Also, the organization will focus on expanding the organization or deviating the program into a new service line by using the funds generated from the campaigns. Anyway, the organization will get involved with a development plan after deep research and evaluate the performance and fund levels.
